French president François Hollande congratulates FrenchTechViet and Linagora Vietnam

LINAGORA accompanied the President of the French Republic, François Hollande, during his official visit to Vietnam from September 5 to 7. On the occasion of the state visit, LINAGORA signed an important agreement with the province of Quang Ninh in partnership with HANEL, a major part of Vietnam’s digital, as well as the municipality of Ho Chi Minh City.

Towards a French-Vietnamese cooperation in E-gov

On the occasion of the state visit, the Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has sent a formal request for cooperation in the field of E-gov the President of the French Republic. This is a new recognition of the excellence of French industry in the field of E-gov and its ability to equip other states. Indeed, France is particularly recognized in the E-gov domain since it is ranked 1st in Europe and 4th in the world in terms of e-gov by the UN the report United Nations e-Government survey in 2014.

The final objective of this request for cooperation is the implementation of a large E-gov program in Vietnam in which LINAGORA naturally wants to play a major role.

LINAGORA already working with the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport and Vietnamese governments, like that of the city of Da Nang. This State visit was also an opportunity to sign new partnership agreements with Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh province.

The President of the French Republic also wished to support the Viet FrenchTech. Céline Charpiot-Zapolsky, Commercial Director and General Manager of LINAGORA LINAGORA Vietnam, was the Head of file which allowed to file for its record label. According to the President of the Republic, this certification should take place very soon. He decided to meet with the Office of Viet FrenchTech to share this good news. On the occasion of this meeting, Céline Charpiot-Zapolsky says: “I presented to the President of the Republic the vibrant scene of digital here in Vietnam, especially Ho Chi Minh City The French Tech is already strong 1500 people. and no fewer than 120 companies! the President of the Republic was very attentive, enthusiastic and did not fail to remember that the French companies that create jobs in Vietnam, also create jobs in France. LINAGORA is a good example! ”

The FrenchTechViet honored by the President of the Republic

The French President  also wished to support the FrenchTechViet . Céline Charpiot-Zapolsky, Business Director of LINAGORA  and General Manager of LINAGORA Vietnam, was one of the main actors which allowed to file for its labelization. According to the President of the Republic, this certification should take place very soon. He decided to meet with the Office of Viet FrenchTech to share this good news. Exchanges between the President of the Republic and the players in the French Tech Vietnam, including Celine Charpiot-Zapolsky (LINAGORA Vietnam), Sébastien Auligny (Gameloft), Thuy Bui (Linkbynet), Kevin Villareal (MarketOi) and Stéphane Aisenberg (Linkbynet).

Finally, those few days in Vietnam have also allowed to present LINAGORA Pedro Nevo, Director of BPI International, the work of LINAGORA Vietnam in training to digital business. The training program “OpenUP” LINAGORA is the first training course in Open Source in Vietnam. Every year, Vietnam LINAGORA form and 50 engineers for careers in Open Source in partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Hanoi (Bach Khoa Ha Noi).
